Shut off valve as needle valve?

My regulator came with a shut off valve that looks more or less like this. Can that be used as a needle valve?

Potentially yes. But a very small movement of the valve will probably greatly increase or decrease the flow. It may be impossible to gt the flow just right with that type of valve.

I would call swagelok.com They carry a wide variety of regulators, valve, needle valves, and pipe fittings. They can quickly identify a good valve for you in their extensive catalog. Just provide them with the hose inner diameter and and that you want very fine adjustment capability. You can get the valve in brass or stainless steel . I would recommend stainless steel.
