Red Flame Dwarf Gourami: Male and/or Female?
Do I have one of each, two males, or two females?
Purchased at LFS a couple of weeks ago.
Difficult to get photos. Both gourami are equally colorful. The fish in the first photo is slightly larger and occasionally a bit of a bully to the other gourami and the occasional cardinal tetra. Fish still swim together and have not established territories. Tank is planted with several caves and tunnels between rocks (mostly slate), pool-sand substrate. Stock includes six corydoras, eight cardinal tetras, ten glow light rasbora, and fifteen rummy nose tetra.

Both males, unfortunately. Females of this variant are silver. Many shops don't sell females as they are "too plain and boring and no-one will buy them"

Keep an eye on them. As you've only had them a couple of weeks, they may still be settling in, and things could change.
