I know it's not recommended to go and mess with your pH, but I think our low pH (reads as 6 on chart)... is stalling the cycling in our tanks.
So I would like to know what we could do to get the pH up without having to use those pH upper things you always see at petstores.
Something that's easy and will keep it stable.

Best way to raise pH is by using natural items such as adding a small amount of crushed coral to the filter or ading a small piece of tufa rock to the tank. Both will raise the pH.

Crushed coral or tufa rock.. alrighty.
How long will these keep the ph up? Or is it permanent until they're removed?

It will pretty much be permanent. And with the crushed coral, it really doesn't take a lot. Probably a teaspoonful or 2 will be plenty.
