the only problem I can see is guppies. Out of all the livebearers they seem to be the most prone to eating their own young and others. Are you guppies male or female?

I have a male and a female, I used to have 2 females and 1 male but the one female died

Well, no matter what some fish will eat the babies. There's nothing you can do unless you want to monitor her all day everyday!

Ya, I put some plants on top so they're floating now
Hopefully that'll be ok for big mama and her babies, even if some get eaten, that's ok, I can't do anything about it...
