Please don't worry about this. Just because something can happen, doesn't mean it will.

The chances of any fish getting this disease are still small and should not cause you to fear of think less of your gourami. They are still fine fish, although I prefer the standard, more natural ones, over the selectively bred for color ones.

Wow didn't know that could happen... I'm sure the risk is very very very very small but like you said it can happen especially to particular people with low immune systems. Yeah.. that foot is pretty freaky... let's hope that doesn't happen to anyone!! But like inchworm said, let's not think less our fishies
