Will adding a lil bit of aquarium salt to my neon tank harm my live "freshwater" plants? i had 2 of my new tetras die on me... so id like to adda lil bit of salt to kill any bacteria in the tank... there was a few dead neons in the tank at the lfs, so im just being cautious!!! the other neons are very healthy and eatin and doin very well..just 2 didnt make the trip

the salt probably wont hurt the plants. But you might be hurting the neons with the salt. Im not sure if they like salt or not!!! But i dont think it will effect your plants.

Salt won't hurt them to my knowledge..
The only fish that really don't do well with salt are scaleless fish.
