Here's Murph, my new little fader flowerhorn.
Only had him 6 days so far. This pic was taken 4 days ago ...
He's just started fading, so is look rather a mess colour-wise at the moment. I'll keep you all updated with pics as he goes through the fading process. He should end up a lovely golden base colour, with some blue pearls towards his rear half, and with a red/pink belly. Fins should have a fair bit of red on them too. However, It remains to be seen whether he'll keep his flowers (the darker blotches along his lateral line). It's all a big adventure !!
I'll be honest and say that his kok has almost doubled in size since that photo was taken (4 days ago). I think he's going to be a real kokster !
He's a great character. Very tame, confident, and greedy ... all the things I love about a well adjusted flowerhorn !
