After an issue with my betta being fin nipped I decided it was best he was to get his own tank. I found a small 30Litre tank on Amazon for like Ā£40, and luckily had some spare substrate, sand and driftwood, and gathered some Christmas moss and a variety of anubias from the main tank to create his own little space!

I even made a wee waterfall that trickles down the exposed moss covered wood.

Added some peace lily and pothos to grow out the top and I was done!

At the moment thereā€™s a small hang on back filter I had but I honestly think itā€™s defective as itā€™s barely moving the water.
Iā€™m partly thinking because itā€™ll only be the betta, and potentially a couple shrimp/snail in here that I could do without the filter altogether and just do weekly changes. The small pump for the waterfall does give some water movement but obviously isnā€™t taking in any debris/muck.
But Iā€™ll take advice from you guys on whether that would work.

I hope you like this look of this little scape!

Wow, your tank looks awesome! I can't see your betta, is he/she in there?

Nice tank! I see a future TOTM entry :)

Do you plan on adding a heater? Bettas are tropical fish so a heater is important.
Thankyou guys!
He is yeah, he was exploring the tank I think when I took that photo, Iā€™ll definitely get more photos taken

yeah thereā€™s a very small heater just behind the driftwood - Iā€™m glad itā€™s hidden well enough haha!
