need algae eater for african cichlids

the best i have found for algae is a vc-10.

What is a VC-10? When we talk about gold sucking loach could this be the cute little fish we are talking about??

Maybe one of you would post the scientific name of this "Gold algae eater". The ones I've seen for sale with that name have definitely been gold CAEs (which is a partial albino version of the regular striped variety)

Gyrinocheilos aymonieri is the gold algea eaters scientific name. though it is almost the same as a CAE (which is by the way, not from china) it is bigger, and it is its own wild color.

I've also seen gold ottos.

a vc-10 is a placidochromis milomo. the distinguishing feature of this fish is the enlarged lips which it gets from sucking algae.

great fish for the aquarium, especially mbuna. another choice if you do not want to go with cats or plecs.
