My new pond Diary!!!

nope no water yet.

dads still got quite a bit of brick work to be done and i have to dig out the large tree stump at the back left of the pond so i can route my pipe work.

nah progress has slowed down atm.

getting the brick work and filtration done at the moment, all the plumbing takes so long to make sure it's right and water tight

Your filtering it?
I thought in ponds you just had a fountain that had a filter built in
Thats how my neighbor did her goldfish pond..

yeh thats ok for your basic goldfish pond.

this is going to be a koi pond and filtration is top notch stuff, don't come cheap either!

So, is it like a filter I'd use in an aquarium?
Is it under ground?

It's an extra large external filter really.

I'll get some pics up in the next few dyas when i'll have most of it done.

It's still covered over so you can't actually see anything.

hopefully this weekend we can get the liner in though.

opps sprry I haven't updated, will try to remember to do some pics tomorrow.

the ponds stocked with a few koi, 30 odd goldfish, rudd, tench, grass carp and my albino sturgeon. had major problem with fungus on the fish recently, althought seems to of subsided since i got the proper filter going.
