my bristlenose

sometimes my bristlenose catfish gets like a thick white/grey line around its body just behind its eyes. it stays like that for a couple of minutes, maybe less, and then fades away. is it anything i should worry about? its really strange

I think its probably something to do with camoflage. When mine is on the bogwood, it is very dark but if i scare it onto thew sand (if i want to move the wood) then it gets much paler with the line which you describe. I think quite a few fish can change their colour slightly - to avoid predation in the wild i assume. I wouldn't worry about it.
