Evening. Came in tonight to see that Sharon the white mollie seems to have popeye. I'd like to help her so that Ozzy still has someone to swim about the tank with. (no, I didn't choose tha names!)
Tank size: 65l
pH: 7.2
ammonia: 0ppm
nitrite: 0ppm
nitrate: 15ppm
kH: no idea
gH:no idea
tank temp: 25oC
Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): Fish is swimming and eating normally, no unusual behaviour apart from the eye. This mollie is always swimming around in the plants, and this behaviour hasn't changed either.
Volume and Frequency of water changes: 25% weekly
Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: none so far.
Tank inhabitants: another white mollie, six harlequin rasboras
Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): none, five cherry shrimps were the most recent addition six weeks ago.
Exposure to chemicals: None that I'm aware of.
The eye looks very like this although much redder and more swollen.
Is there somethin I can get from the LFS that will help?
