Only had my pond running now for about 3 weeks, but seem to have got rid of the little bit of blanket weed i had and can now see the bottom of the pond.
Had a quick check inside my filter today and noticed some little worms amongst the "sludge" .........healthy bacteria??? :kana:
Iva always fancied getting some butterfly koi,but was wondering if i should leave it for a while to let the pond really establish itself first :dunno:
I have a mixture of goldfish and shubumpkins in there now (11 in total)
Pond is approx.11ft. longx8ft wide and about 32 ins. deep.
I have an"Atom" pond pump and a "bermuda" pressurised filter

Why not get the Koi? I would check the water parameters seeing as it is newly set-up, but the filter doesn't sound over loaded while it is establishing. If you introduce fish gradually then the filter copes well in large bodies of water. :)

Thanks Ryan.
I did check levels yesterday with the test kit i use for my tropical tank and everything seems ok with the "p.h" reading 8.0.
Not sure if this is ok or not,and i understand that it isnt really wise to start trying to alter the ph if you can help it
Forgot to add that nitrite....nitrate and ammonia are aslo ok
