Mardel Maracyn-Two = Trustworthy?

How bad is the finrot? If really bad, then use the maracyn. If it's just starting, then I'd try melafix - and a water change before either one.

I had a rescued betta whose fins were literally nubs. Maracyn-Two cleared it up. I trust the stuff and use it on most of my fish with fin rot. No clue about how it would affect your snails, though.

its tetracycline/minocycline. no copper. you should be fine. if it doesnt do the trick, try straight maracyn. thats erythromycin...also a broadspectrum antibiotic that is safe for snails and everything. B)

make sure you read the leaflet in the package... it will explain that during a Maracyn-two treatment your water may go cloudy, but doing a 25% water change and adding fresh carbon after the treatment will clear it up. so dont panic. ;)

good luck
