Mardel Maracyn-Two = Trustworthy?

Will Mardel Maracyn-Two do the job, taking away fin rot? Im not sure if it will kill my snails, it doesn't say anything on the package about copper.

How bad is the finrot? If really bad, then use the maracyn. If it's just starting, then I'd try melafix - and a water change before either one.

I had a rescued betta whose fins were literally nubs. Maracyn-Two cleared it up. I trust the stuff and use it on most of my fish with fin rot. No clue about how it would affect your snails, though.

its tetracycline/minocycline. no copper. you should be fine. if it doesnt do the trick, try straight maracyn. thats erythromycin...also a broadspectrum antibiotic that is safe for snails and everything. B)

make sure you read the leaflet in the package... it will explain that during a Maracyn-two treatment your water may go cloudy, but doing a 25% water change and adding fresh carbon after the treatment will clear it up. so dont panic.
