Guys

I will be leaving for work early in the mornings and not getting home until perhaps 11/12 hours later when I have my tank.

Might that be too much light?

Has anyone used timers? Are they and good?

I will be getting a Dymax robot led light, could a timer be used with this?

Also would I be best having it somehow dim?

Hi Rob, I have my lights on for 12 hrs a day, sometimes longer - the only time I would worry would be if I had a massive algae problem, which I dont :good:

Timers are fine, most of us run something or other on at least one

Are they all rather generic? I was looking at something cheap like this http://www.discountedpetproducts.net/LIGHT_TIMER__24HRGROUNDED_-UKP49211.html

Do they lower the light ouput at all? I had a dimmer on my last LEDs and it made them dim!

Also can a timer make the light dim on and off?

Thanks

Rob

all my lights are on timers and some of my power heads are aswell :)
all they do is on/off at set time intervals, no dimming or any thing that clever, if you have a range near you you can pick them up for about 99p

Near me the police were handing out timers for free.
