hey,
i just built a cave for my chinese algae eater,
only he is not paying the slightest bit of interest.
Any tips???
I can see this thread not getting nay replies becasue no one has a CAE.

No, I haven't got a CAE, but if you JUST built him the cave, maybe he hasn't really noticed it yet or doesn't trust it enough to check it out yet. I'm sure with time he'll find it, just be patient.

well i built a cave for my two CAE and they didnt going in or near it for like 2 weeks, then after my clown loaches called it home the cae moved in and the loaches moved out........ lol pretty funny i think

lol i got a CAE and he took over this big rock untill my krib moved in.

just give him time and he will get familier with it

I got some in different aquariums, and mostly they're fine on the wood they dont want caves

However, in the latest addition to our aquariums we made this 'cave' out of rocks ... and he Loves it. Also, dont know what you guys are talking about with it taking that long, this one couldnt wait to hide in it
