I have a plecostomous and not that long ago she injured herself on her back between her head and dorsal fin. I was worried for a while that she would get an infection but I kept the water in as good quality as possible and it healed over. It was pretty deep and I think she did from thrashing around near the plastic fry tank that was floating in my tank at the time to accomodate some baby platies. I was surprised to find that it healed over without any scarring but later I soon observed that the area where she hurt herself appeared a whiter colour than the rest of her body. Some times it grows and sometimes it is smaller. Is it just scarring or is it some thing worse?

If you think you know I would love to here your thoughts. Will it ever heal over without scarring?

Cheers! :good:
