Is this dropsy? Bloat?

I bought some Kanacyn and have started medicating today. In this pic I can kind of see the scales raising a litle. I have lots of pics. Please give info on what you guys think this is.

looks bloated.... but its kinda hard to tell lookin at a pic.. is he normally that fat?.. if not hes probably bloated

Looks like dropsy to me. It's what my lil guy looked like before he blew up like a big ole' balloon.

Yes id have to agree with fwgal. It does look like dropsy.

55--that's not nesicarliy (spelling) true. My betta has been batteling dropsy now for about a week and he is still going strong. Eating, swimming, breathing. I still have hope that he will recover. Not all is lost.

Samething happen to my betta he stay strong for 2 weeks. But i had a guppy a female betta that had dropsy gave her a good ol salt bath and some marcyin 2 and got cured a week later.
