How to trim?

Hi guys, I have some Bacopa Monnieri that's grown so well it's out the water and pushing on the glass cover plates. How do I trim the tops of the stems so they're back at a reasonable level, without killing the plant?

Find the height you want to trim them down to and cut them. Simple as that. Some will say use a sharp sterile blade or scissors and cut at an angle. I originally followed this method untill laziness settled in (scissors were on the opposite side of the room) and just started piching them off at the appropriate height with my finger nails. The remaining plant does perfectly well and the cuttings can be replanted without any problems. I have yet to kill/damage a plant with the clean or lazy pruning methods stated above. HTH
