Sorry to hear that mate, sounds like the wound may have been infected and not caught early enough, may be worth dosing the pond to ensure nothing else suffers.

yeah, i think youre right...
im off to the garden centre now to get that interpet stuff..

we've just been down the tackle shop and got some fishing wire, so I'll be sorting the protection out today too..
