Help! Betta Fish Tumor(?) Turning White?

Hello!

I posted a thread a few months ago regarding my Betta. I thought he had bloat initially, but the consensus seemed that it was a tumor.

I noticed yesterday that it seems to be turning white. It also seems to be a bit stringy, as you can see in the second photo.

I realize there isn’t much I can do for him, so I’m doing my best to keep him comfortable. He’s still eating and swimming just fine!

Does anyone know why his tumor is turning white, and what this means for him? I want to do what I can to relieve his symptoms as much as possible.

the white bit appears to be skin underneath where the scales used to be. It is probably from the thing growing inside him. I would euthanise him
