hair algae?

anybody have an idea of how to get hair algae out of a pond about 75 feet long by 35 feet wide?? it has taken over

Thats a big pond it would take forever by hand,do you mean blanket weed?

might have to chuck a few bails in at that size pond how olds the pond you could try the hydrogen peroxide pottasium potanginate (sp) solution but read up on it first ill post the link later as im off to work

lol when i first looked i was thinking of hair gel not sure why

We call it blanket weed,we had it not long back but your pond is massive be hard for you to get rid of it all,theres chemical stuff you can use or like the others said use straw.
