is it possible for a male guppy to get a female sword pregnant because i only have male
guppies and only have female swordtails but today i suddenly noticed my orange swordtail
looking rather plump shall we say.

how long have you have these fish?
by rights swords will breed with platy as they are both from the same species (carp) but ive not come across sword and guppy anywhre and have spent a while searching for your answer

more than likely, they can store sperm for about 7months, and as said swords can breed with platys' but mot with gupps, gupps can breed with mollies although it rarely happens

Guppies will try to breed with other species of livebearers and even non-livebearers givenb a chance, but they will never produce fry with swordtails.
