Growing Algae

How can I encourage algae to grow in my 29 gallon? I want it to grow before I get pleco's

have you lights on for more than 12 hours, some will say overfeed, but just be careful with this one as you're filter needs to be able to cope with the aftermath of ammonia spikes.

Algae wafers are fine in my experience.

Algae wafers are fine in my experience.

I had a spotted bristlenose and she refused to eat algae wafers and died from starvation.
