Gouramis With Rainbowfish?

Ok I am not new to fish keeping, however i've never had gouramis, I really like the dwarf neon ones. and honey?.. But typically what are the easiest ones to get in a shop?

Are they kept in pairs ? Or singularly.

I currently have a Rio 125, with 2 Boesmani, 2 turquiose and 4 dwarf rainbowfish.

Would it be OK to keep 2-3 gouramis in the tank?

If so what should I be careful of?

ive got 2 Boesmani with an opaline gourmi and have no problems

I've got 4 rainbows in with a pair of opaline gouramis, no problems to report.
From memory I think gouramis are ideally kept in a trio (1 male, 2 females) so the male doesn't chase 1 female too much.

I have 1 neon rainbowfish (planning on getting more) in with my three honey gouramis and I haven't had any problems. They seem quite happy
