we just found our red honey gourami by the filter at the top of the tank not really moving. we've managed to get it away but it seems to be floating rather than swimming and keeps nearly turning on its back. can we do anything???

have your tested your water??? Is there any fish picking on it??? how many fish all up??? Try to put it in another tank and try to get it to eat and little activity for it.

Sad to say there is nothing you can do it's dying maybe issolate it to let it die in peace

Hi...I had two dwarf red gouramis in a similar situation. I had a quarantine tank and fished them out of my main tank and treated them with Melafix. One died and the other survived and was returned to the main tank sveral weeks later where he is alive and doing well. Check all your parameters. Sadly, sometimes fish will die and you will not find the cause. A hospital/quarantine tank is a plus to have. Good luck and I hope your gourami survives. SH
