Got this weird pant

We just got this plant as a bud, and I think it's a balansae plant. However it's got this weird runner that shot out to the surface and made what looks like a deformed flower. It's just the stem split in half with weird buds on it. What the heck is this wierd alien?!?

By 'bud' I assume you mean bulb. Your plant is an aponogeton. They will shoot flowers to the surface. You can see a picture in this thread.
