Floating water sprite...

Does anyone know if you plant a floating water sprite if it will grow well?

It depends on the species of water sprite. One likes to be planted, another LOVES to be floating. Apparently, I have the one that likes to float. It will take over the top of the water in the course of a couple of days. So, experiment with it. They won't mind being planted after floating.

Im not sure what ive got... Ive been floating it for months now and have heaps of it but im looking to have it growing submerged in my 4 foot tank is there anyway i can tell what type i have?

Oooooggg. Umm, I think a good book would be Aquarium plants by Christel Kasselmann. I don't know if it would be in your libraries, but it's on the internet. Here's a link.
