Found some fish records, some of them aquarium related:

Largest Goldfish
The longest goldfish (Carassius auratus) in the world measures 37.2 cm from snout to tail-fin end. Bruce, as the goldfish is called, is two years old and is owned by brothers Louis and Jackie Chan Chun Ping who run the Tung Hoi Aquarium Company Ltd in China.

Most Fish Eggs
The ocean sunfish (Mola mola) produces up to 30 million eggs at a single spawning, each measuring about 1.3 mm. in diameter.

Oldest Fish
A female European eel (Anguilla anguilla) named Putte, was reported to be 88 years old when she died at Hälsingborg Museum, Sweden, in 1948. Not bad for a fish living in a tank with so "ancient" technology.

Oldest Goldfish
The oldest goldfish was named Tish and owned by Hilda and Gordon Hand of Carlton Minniot, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire, UK. It lived for 43 years after being won at a fairground stall in 1956. Hilda and Gordon buried their beloved Tish in a shady corner of their garden, as the fish had disliked direct light.

Slowest Fish
The slowest fish are the sea horses (family Syngnathidas). Smaller species like the dwarf sea horse (Hippocampus zosterae), which is just 4.2 cm in length, probably never attain speeds of more than 0.016 km/h. The swimming ability of sea horses is severely limited by a rigid body structure and the only parts of the fish's body which can be moved rapidly are the pectoral fins on either side of the back of the head and the dorsal fin along the back.

Anyone have any others? Found these in a Guiness book of world records so there may be newer ones.

My bropther had a pet goldfish that he won from a shos stall in about 1984 and it only died last year at the ripe old age of 19. He was called jaws funnily enough.
