Fiji Live rock

Can anyone help? I have been noticing small (no larger than 1/2 in. now), white, "cottony" looking tubes sprining up from my live rock. I haven't found anyone that can identify what these are. I've heard they may be a multitude of things. I will post it here http/www.timdudek.com/reef%20id.png, it should open up a drwaing I made of it, I tried to photograh it, but I can't shoot a good shot, without interupting my tank. Thank you,

It looks like sponges....I have lots in my tank.
They won't harm anything. So tell us about your tank, size, equipment livestock etc.

yeah it looks a bit like sponge, I got quite a bit in my live rock too
