Fat and pale siamese algae eater

Can someone tell me what is happening to this fish? It's acting normally but is really fat and pale. The other ones appear a bit fat as well, but not this bad.

Just looks like a chubby fish.

If the tank is bright (white sand, light back ground, not many plants, bright tank light) the fish will be pale. Try adding some floating plants like water sprite and see if it helps.

Glad to hear that! I do have a light substrate and few plants. This won't be for long though, as I'm renovating my tank with a new coarser and darker sand as well as lots of new plants. =)
