hi,

i have lost a fish and cannot find the body

I have 9 tiger barbs, (babies)
3 silver sharks
1 Plec
4 Mollies
7 Neon Tetra
2 Scissor Tails
3 Charachins
4 Male guppies

1 of the charachins which was about 2 1/2 inches in size has completely gone, i was wandering if it could have died, and the remaining fish have eaten the body.

any ides.

I can live with the fact that i have lost a fish but

What have you got in the tank?
What size is the tank?
How long has it been gone?

I had two minnows die in my tank, and the other fish(cichlids) that are in my tank ate their bodies after they have died.

But I would also think it would depend on what fish you have in your tank. But most likely the body has been eaten.

Make sure you look behind/under everything inside your tank to see if you can find the fish at all.

Yes they do eat other fish. When I started I could never find my fish that died, at least my fish had a feast!

Although sometimes they are half eaten and hidden around in nooks and crannys.

Lucy :)
