Hi, I have been looking at various digital cameras. Pros and Cons, various revues. looking in the region 100-150 pounds, wanting something that a big dummy like me can use, point and shoot but would also like to be able to take some nice shots of my tanks and fish so a good macro is essential, if it has a movie mode that would be a bonus, any recomendations ?

Canon IXUS 100IS is an excellent cheap camera. IFAIK, the nearest macro range (if it makes sense) is 3cm and it has HD video recording! :good:

Comets are selling the Panasonic Lumix FP1 for £110. It too has HD recording but I think its macro range is 10CM :look:

I'm a Nikon person, so I can only really say about their stuff. But usually the equivalent canon stuff is just as good. The Nikon coolpix stuff from around £80 is pretty fantastic for the money. I've even seen some of the £80 ones in use by pros as a second "take everywhere" camera. Because sometimes a full SLR is a little bt big to carry around everywhere.
