 Hey whats up guys? I have a question about some dead coral i found at the beach. I Live in Miami, FL. I wanted to ask specifics abot any procedure I must take in order to put these dead corals in my planned 55 gallon marine tank. I heard something about boiling them, but I don't know the details...can anyone help me? I will really appreciate it. Thank You!

boil it for a while... then let it dry... maybe boil it again... just until it looks good... what kind of coral? im guessing just a sea fan?

Yeah best action is to boil it. After boiling it a few times, try smelling it, if it smells a bit suspect then boil it again. By boiling it in freshwater you should not be able to smell anythingon it after a while.

if that doesnt work try steaming it... like put a rack on your pot, and boil water and put it on the rack, thats what i do with fragile stuff (or just did) and it worked good...
