Just a note about Fritz products.
In the past, I used Fritz zyme 7 (also live bacteria) and it gave me a stinking smell in my tank.
After a few months, I couldn't stand the smell anymore.
I removed all my filter medias and soaked them in hot water to kill off all the beneficial bacteria.
I changed all the water in the tank and I restarted my tank with Seachem Stability.
Now my tank doesn't have the stinking smell any more.
According to Fritz website, Fritz Zyme 7 uses the same bacteria as Fritz Zyme 700 Turbostart.

In the past for my other tanks, I used API Quick Start and Interpret Fast Filter Start. None of them gave me any stinking smell until today.

Seachem Stability

From Seachem Stability:
The bacteria employed by Stability® are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability® is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use.

From the above, I'm suspecting that Fritz is using bacteria that will create the hydrogen sulfide which gave the stinking smell in my tank.
Anyway, this is my suspicion.
You can check and verify it with your tank.
