Thought I'd try to grow some covering plants as a project. Checked on Google, looked easy. Purchased some seeds, set up all the gear. Cut a long story short, the seeds grow well as they should, waited a week sprayed them etc. Transferred the plants to my tank, looking good. 2 days later the plants started to melt, floating up what a mess they just don't want to root. Went to my fish store a good friend of mine told him, he laughed you been done that plant is water cress. Apparently there's a lot going around so be warned

Most aquarium plants aren't sold as seed so if someone is offering you Ambulia, Cryptocoryne, Echinodorus, Elodia, Hygrohila, Water Sprite or Vallis seeds, don't take them because they are probably something else.
