Confussed on Hybrids and Crossbreeds

I had a cory cat fish that was a mix of two cat fish. would that be a crossbreed or hybrid?

blood parrets are hybrids, but if theyre were a convict and a severum in the tank would they mate? If not how do they make them? Or any hybrids.

and what about varitus. I thought once that I saw that they were hybrids, but then cross breeds. what are they?
