Main System

AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ @ 2.7GHz (stock is 2GHz)
Asus AN832-SLI Deluxe
4GB OCZ Platinum DDR
1.2TB (Terabyte) storage in 3 SATA 3.0GB/s RAID arrays (including WD Raptor RAID as system/boot drive)
128MB Nvidia 6600GT PCI-Ex VGA card (not a games player at all)
LianLi PC70 chassis with 550W True rated PSU.
Logitech DiNovo Media Desktop input system
MS Windows XP Pro

Server
Dell Poweredge 1800
2 x Intel Xeon 3.6GHz CPU's
2GB DDR2
2TB (Terabyte) SATA 3.0GB/s storage on CERC RAID Controller
MS Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 Edition

All running on a Gigabit network with Linksys wireless router providing the wireless throughout the property (including repeaters).

Also have 4 laptops of varying specs around the house that the wife & kids use primarily (although one of them is out of bounds as I use it when I am out of the house).

You may be wondering why I have all that storage, well, I do a LOT of video editing work & RAW uncompressed footage takes up a lot of space (and when you have at any one time upto 20 digital tapes on the system you soon run out of room!!!)

NICE!

Apple macbook (black)

2.0 Ghz dual core intel processor
2 GB RAM
120 GB Hard drive

The fastest computer I have used yet. That being said I have not used many, and they were mostly PC's before this but wow the mac boots up fully in under 10 seconds. My desktop PC takes 4 minutes even with 2 GB RAM.

Absolutely staying with Macs from now on.

My 3 year old Dell takes roughly 18 seconds from hardboot to browsing on IE.
So I don't think it's fair to compare apples with pears.

Sorry!

Just trying to point out that this is far and away the fastest computer I've used! Not the fastest computer available (obviously) but mine is up and browsing the net in those 10 seconds which would have your dell beat almost twice over :p
