clown loach problems

Clown loach, so far 2 of 4 far from well. Initially looked like some sort of fungus, over production of mucus, now though looking like fin rot. These two are gasping at the surface. I have been treating with a proprietory blue coloured medicine for two days however worse not better. Any ideas?

What size tank do you have these loaches in?

Is an ingredient of the meds you are using malachite green? This turns the water blue....if so, stop using it. Loaches are sensitive to this.

As for what they are sick with, so they have spots on them? Do they have white cottony looking stuff from them? What exactly is wrong?

Their fins might just be fraying due to stress but maybe they have fin rot. MelaFix is always good for that and is safe for loaches.
