Clear Seal Consort Hoods

    I recently bought a Clear Seal Consort hood for my 36" x 12" tank but I've found that there are no knock outs/cut outs or gaps for the airline and heater/filter electric cables to pass through and it's a snug fitting hood.
    I realise I'm going to have to make my own holes for the said pipes and cables to pass through but I was wondering if anyone else has had experience of this particular hood or if anyone else has had to do the same with this or any other make of hood and can, perhaps, provide a few pointers or say what their experiences were.
    I should be able to do the holes but it's a right pain in the Rs having to do so.
