Hey everyone out there in the fish loving world B) , i gotta question about caves. How can i make a cave in my tank? what supplies would i need and how easy are they to make?

Thanks!

caves are so simple. you can use slates, or pvc, like lobster said, or you can do this which i think is really cool:

turn a flower pot upside down, make a hole in the side with a hammer, then silicone your gravel to the sides and top, so when you put it in, it looks like a cave that rose up from the ground.

I have a different type of cave that I made, but they are for breeding apistos.

I used a pair of pliers to break off small pieces of a terra cotta pot, then smeared silicone on it and rolled it in sand.

Another cave I made was with a pvc pipe with a bend in it and a cap on the end. Again the silicone and sand.

I have also heard of people halving coconuts.

I just took some slate and stacked it up on itself. Uprights and diagonals and whatnot. After i do my water change and the water settles, I will take a picture and post it here for you to have a look at.

Here we go. Its not the best picture, but you can see how its been constructed.
