Cant Eliminate Smell, Please Help !

Just as a mini update. I spoke to the LFS where I got the aquabasis+ from and they relayed my comments to the JBL rep. I am arranging to send a sample of the soil to them as they are keen to send it off to Germany for testing. Will let you know the outcome.

Thanks Lisa, I will definitely post their findings. To be honest I am kinda disappointed that the retailer did not say "Hey, you are a valued customer, you are clearly not happy with the product, WE will sort you out in the meantime with a replacement product or store credit, and deal with JBL in the background, rather than you having to wait for possibly weeks for them to resolve this" At the end of the day we are talking peanuts in terms of product wholesale value. If I was in charge I would see my customer happy and deal with the supplier on a different level. But thats multi chain pet outlets for you.
 
Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised.
