I have decided against the sabertooth characins as i cannot justify keeping a fish with such a high mortality rate. I want to keep this species instead. I have a 150 with a 4'X2'X30" floor plan and a 120 with a 5'X18"X2' floor plan. I've heard this will work, but that i should keep them in groups, but how many should there be in the group? I find the web has such crappy information so I would like to hear anyones personal experience with them.

Basicly a mini dorado, fast aggressive and highly predatory. With your tank size i'd only recomend a single specimin as they are pretty quarrelsome and need room to get away from each other. They should reach around 15" in captivity.
