Brown Algea

Seem to be getting some brown algea on one of my tanks, its starting to cover some pebbles on the substrate and some of the glass, its also all over the filters and heater.

Its a small 25 ltr Aquaone 320 tank for my betta. It had 3-4 gravel and a couple of plants lights are one for about 12 hours a day.

Any idea's

Sounds like diatoms to me, is it a new tank? A pic would help. If it is diatoms, they are common in new tanks and sound go given time. If however you want to and you have space an ottos or two would clear them up in a day or so, they love diatoms.
