BGK whitish layer

Hey, please help me out here. My BGK has a whitish layer over it's body and eyes. Attaching a picture. Please help me out.

it's probably excess mucous caused by chemicals or poor water quality.

check the water quality for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.

do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for 2 weeks. make sure nay new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.
