bettas - mosquito larvae?

can i feed my betta the wriggling mosquito larvae from my pond? without to much worry?
cos i do feel kind of bad about feeding it pellets all day

Make sure they are clean before you do, but your betta might stop eating regular food.

I add up to onehundred of them to my community tanks (also a small red shrimp looking thing) that I catch in the slough here. I make sure to add no debris and rinse them well. I use a brine shrimp net to catch them but even a reg fish net works. My betta and everyone else loves them and within 30 seconds I can't find them in the tank.
