no i mean power filter. theyre the kinda filters that u just plug in and dont need air pumps. and yes i do need a filter for a tank that small cuz it need to be clean.

of course you need a filter, never said you did. almost all filters have adjustable currents, but most dont create enough to provide the tank with enough oxygen

bettas really shouldnt be kept wioth any of those fish you suggested. neons have a habit og ganging up on betts and killing them.
Barbs, angels and gouramis and all fin nippers
The betta will also take a liking to the guppies tails
i think you should get him his own tank

So long as they disturb the surface area and create ripples and a splash any filter should work fine, provided it's the right size for the aquarium.

well i sold my betta back to the lfs becuz he didnt like my filter and just stayed at the heater so i sold him
