I was active a few years ago but now that I am retired I got back into Cories. I have a group of 4 Long Fin Aeneus Cories in a tank that I figured were retired. I started to feed them more and give them some brine shrinp. All of a sudden I noticed that there were 6 fry in the tank. The fry are doing well. Holy Cow.

Looking back at my records, the Parent Cories are at least 7 years old.

Don't know the exact age when "old" kicks in, but cories normally live for 15, 20, 25 years, or longer. Ian Fuller had one reach 40. No idea if it was still spawning, probably not. But they are long-lived.

Mine are still spawning at close to 15 years, some species.
