It's a standard marina plastic breeding trap with vents on either side. What I do is stick the thermometer to the side in front of the filter then hook the trap on so the vent is right next to the flow. It's only 30L it will take me about an hour or so I hope. I'm going for the record!

Here is an updated photo of the tank today.  ​
Note I have added a new piece of wood to assist in hiding the intake pipe.​

The moss is growing well on the wood, but not so well on the rock - bottom left - so I am guessing it needs more light.​
