Algae Treatment Help

Hi can you help
I have added a flora-glo tube to my Juwell 96l tank in place of the existing standard tube to help the plants, plants are better but there is now a lot of algae.tested phosphate's found 2.5+
I have purchased some Rowaphos do you think it will be ok to remove the carbon filter in my internal juwell set up and add the rowaphos in the net bag in it's place.
Your help would be appreciated

Some say that you shouldn't use carbon with planted tanks anyway. As this can remove fertilizers etc...

With medications you have to remove the carbon, So I expect you would with Rowaphos too. But, never having used this product I wouldn't know for sure. It should say on the container.
